Biography of
a Motorcycle-ridin',
guitar-slingin' fool

When the Producer of the Easyriders Video Magazine discovered Beatnik's musical talents, He quickly put the goateed one to work writing and singing songs for the videos.
If you've ever checked out the Easyriders Video Magazine you've seen and heard Steve. You've enjoyed his antics in comedy segments and especially his memorable music videos like Red Harley-Davidson, Giant Thing, the Zoo, King of Main Street, Hey Old Friend and the Sturgis Tango.
He was also co-host of the Sturgis 60th
anniversary pay-per-view television special, and He has traveled
the world playing motorcycle runs and rallies big and small,
biker bars and house concerts singing his songs about the freedom
of the biker life. He is the true biker Troubadour.
SO YA SAY HE PLAYS GUITAR OR
SUMTHIN'?
Yep, you bet. Steve's actually a pretty well thought of Los
Angeles guitar shredder and songwriter with 20 years of
nightclub, touring, recording and TV work to his credit.
He was the founder of seminal L.A. roots outfit The Sleepwalkers
and has traveled the wide world as Bandleader for some of
rockabilly music's most cherished old-timers like Glen Glenn,
Sonny Burgess D.J. Fontana, Johnny Legend, Ray Campi, Tony
"Wildman" Conn, and Jimmy Angel. He has toured Europe,
Japan and most of the USA.
His long and continuing association with American roots rocker
John Whiteleather, (who has recorded classic versions of such
Werner-penned songs as Cadillac Attack, Tequila Hangover,
Slot-Car Party, Go Rat Go and All Drunked up) has brought him to
tour Europe many times as a featured guest with WHITELEATHER,
John's popular Sweden-based touring band.
